Bacon-Wrapped Pickles – the Ideal Keto Diet Snack

The ketogenic diet is highly popular these days, with millions of people around the world trying their luck with it. It is loved for many reasons, including the fact that it’s quite efficient. However, people have noted the foods and meals as the biggest disadvantages.

There are just not that many keto recipes you can try, and to be honest, they aren’t very tasty too.

Well, unless you find the right recipes. When you’re on a keto diet, snacks are very important to keep cravings at bay. People don’t know which snacks to get since some of them are pretty loaded with carbs. If you stay true to the keto principles, however, there are quite a few options that are tasty and efficient.

Today we’re going to show you how to prepare your own bacon-wrapped pickles with the right amount of fats, protein, and carbs.

Bacon-Wrapped Pickles

This great snack is a cool twist on stuffed jalapenos. It’s very easy to prepare and will keep you in ketosis and help you stick to your keto diet.

For this recipe, we used dill pickles. Start by slicing them in half lengthwise and let the pickle juice soak on a paper towel. Scoop the center with a spoon like on the picture. No need for it to be perfect – just make room in the center.

Put some cream cheese in and stuff the center of the cut pickles nicely. You can fill one side or fill them both – it’s up to you.

All that remains is to put the pieces together and wrap them in a nice piece of bacon. Don’t go for the one you find in the market. Instead, get some from a butcher shop, a nice, juicy piece of bacon that will give the recipe its nice taste.

You can use toothpicks to keep the bacon in place and the pickles from falling apart.

Toss the keto diet pickles on the grill until the bacon is golden brown or extra-crispy – the way you like it.

Let them cool down in the end. Yes, we know it’ll be hard not to grab a bite right away, but let them cool down first.

If you like to, you can use pickles spears, but you won’t be able to stuff the pickles with cream cheese. You can put some of it on the side, though – that’s a nice alternative. Add some ranch dressing as a dip and you’ve got the perfect keto diet snack.

Are Pickles Allowed on the Keto Diet?

Yes, you can eat pickles on the keto diet. They’re a great snack, and this recipe is even better. Of course, you need to go easy on the cream cheese – you don’t want too much of it ruining the carb count. Or go without it and just wrap the pickles in bacon – they’ll still be tasty.

You can use blue cheese as an alternative, pepperjack cheese, or any other keto diet – friendly types of food. Go wild and experiment, but don’t forget to count the macronutrients.
