This DIY Natural Mouthwash Will Effectively Remove Plaque from Your Teeth

Mouthwashes are among the best-selling products for our teeth, promising plaque removal and whiter teeth in weeks if used twice per day. Which makes perfect sense. Dentists recommend brushing our teeth after every meal, although to be honest, that’s simply impossible all of the time. Mouthwashes solved that problem perfectly, removing plaque and eliminating bacteria that cause bad breath and worse.

However, that’s not to say they’re perfectly healthy for our teeth. As a matter of fact, some brands can harm the enamel and open the door for numerous oral problems. The good news is that there’s a simple natural mouthwash that you can prepare at home that works just like commercial products, but without the nasty side effects.

Baking Soda Mouthwash Recipe

The recipe calls for baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, a combination of ingredients that can do wonders for your oral health. This natural mouthwash is very easy to prepare and can be used twice per day for whiter and healthier teeth.

  • ½ a cup of warm water
  • ½ a teaspoon of sea salt
  • Interdental toothbrush or a toothpick

Next, mix the hydrogen peroxide with a bit of warm water. Swish this mix in your mouth for a minute or two. Finally, use the toothpick or interdental toothbrush to clean the areas that are hard to reach. Rinse with cold water in the end and use the mouthwash twice per day for best results.
