10 Simple Tricks That Will Help You Relieve Itchy Mosquito Bites

Mosquito bites can be devastating. Even though they cause itching irritation, they can also lead to serious health viruses and diseases, such as the Zika virus.

When a mosquito bites you, it first draws out blood and injects saliva, which has anticoagulants and proteins. As proteins are foreign bodies, they trigger immunity and the body starts to release histamine to neutralize the proteins. When it reaches the infected area, it causes swelling, itchiness, and inflammation. If you scratch the bite, the skin becomes inflamed.
