Here Is How To Clean The Bed’s Mattress

Cleaning the bed’s mattresses is one of the most difficult things. The mattresses absorb our sweat and gain an unpleasant smell. Moreover, they can also contain dead skin cells, stubborn stains, and dust mites, which can lead to allergic reactions. For instance, dust mites are the main cause of asthma. Therefore, cleaning the mattresses of the bed is of utter importance for our health.

In this article, we will give you a few tips on how to clean the mattresses of your bed easily.

1. Vacuum the mattress

Vacuum the mattress from your bed to eliminate all dust from it. Make sure you use a new vacuum attachment. To get rid of dust from your mattress, it is recommended to vacuum it every season.

2. Deodorize your mattress

Baking soda is very beneficial for deodorizing the mattress of your bed. All you need to do is to pour baking soda all over the mattress and let it stay for half an hour. Then, vacuum the baking soda.

Since baking soda acts as a natural deodorizer, it can neutralize the unpleasant smell from your mattress. In addition, you can also add 5 drops of some essential oil to the baking soda to provide the mattress with a pleasant scent.

3. Eliminate the stains from the mattress of your bed

There are three types of stains: tannin, protein, and grease stains. Protein stains are the most common stains on mattresses. They appear as a result of body fluids, such as blood, sweat, urine, or vomit.

To eliminate them, first, you should clean them with a wet cloth. Then, remove the excess moisture with a dry cloth. When getting rid of the stains from the mattress, make sure you practice a pressing motion instead of a circular motion, because it will only worsen them.

In addition, protein stains can be also removed with a solution of baking soda, water, and salt. Mix these three ingredients in equal parts and apply the paste directly to the stains. Then, rub the stains and let it stay for half an hour. Wash it off with a wet cloth. When the mattress dries, the stain will be gone.
